dated for 1883, with sighted 22in. blued barrel, plain receiver stamped with a 'VR' crown cypher over 'ENFIELD 1883' over the arabic and roman numeral '2', plain walnut butt-stock with further stamps (chips at head), full fore-end with iron nose-cap, no provision for bayonet, complete with correct iron clearing rod
